Dr. Kilian Schmidt
Kilian had an early and strong focus on legal processes and began his career at Home24 as Senior Legal Counsel and Data Protection Officer for the Home24 Group. After a stint at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, he moved to TIER Mobility, where, as General Counsel, he grew the company's legal and public policy departments from one to 65 cities and from 50 to 800 employees. Driven by the lack of technology in the legal sector, and confirmed by his consulting work at Gorillas Technologies, he decided to found Kertos to develop the next generation of data protection technology – made in Europe.

Johannes Hussak
Kertos is already Johannes' third founding venture. Following his two master's degrees (Mechanical Engineering and International Management) from the Technical University of Munich, as well as the UnternehmerTUM entrepreneur program "Manage&More," he founded his first e-commerce company. Johannes then joined a Munich-based research and development company, where he led the innovation department for more than two years. In 2020, Johannes founded Aitaro GmbH, a development and consulting company focusing on data-driven innovation, before taking on the challenge of developing the next generation of data protection solutions – Kertos. Johannes is passionate about product development and operations, elevating Kertos to a new level.
CTO
Alexander Prams
Alexander holds a master's degree in computer science from the Technical University of Munich. He started programming at the age of 11, contributed to the development of a game engine at 16, and published two apps in the App Store during his bachelor's studies, gaining initial entrepreneurial experience. He worked for more than five years at a Munich-based research and development company, where he headed the artificial intelligence and computer vision department. In 2020, Alex co-founded Aitaro GmbH with Johannes. Today, he is driven by the desire to take the burden of data protection off the shoulders of engineers and to create the easiest-to-integrate no-code solution for implementing data protection.
